It’s finally back!!!
The Starlight Hike, raising funds for Sue Ryder Hospice in Leckhampton, Cheltenham.
For a number of years now Chi Wai Family Martial Arts students and families have volunteered to marshal at the event.
The Starlight Hike is run in order to raise much-needed funds for the Sue Ryder Hospice in Leckhampton, Cheltenham. Chi Wai has been able and honoured to help out by providing much-needed marshaling for the event.
The idea is that participants take a 10K to walk around Cheltenham whilst remembering loved ones
The walk starts at St Edward’s Preparatory School. Once off walkers take a predetermined route around Cheltenham and the halfway mark in the Sue Ryder Hospice in Leckhampton. Where walkers can walk the grounds and leave a message on the memory wall if they wish.
Hot drinks and snacks are also available there along with a welcome toilet break 🙂
Marshals are placed throughout the walk, in designated points to guide the walkers and give encouragement to the hundreds of walkers that pass them. Keeping this family event safe and fun for everyone.
There is a real community spirit with everyone and Chi Wai is proud to be able to help this important fundraising event take place each year.
